The Barcelona player wanted Croatia to overcome their best achievement, which was getting third position in the FIFA World Cup in France 1998, reports Efe.
“We worked several years together… I agree with what (Luka) Modric said the other day. It’s time to do something big with Croatia, although we know it will be a European Championship where there is a lot of quality,” he said at a press conference.
However, he added, his team believes in itself and knows it can do something great.
