That doesn’t seem to bother Rami Malek too much. The actor, who will be playing a villain in No Time to Die seems somewhat intrigued by all the fan theories and is on the record as stating “Let the rumors fly.” During an interview with GQ, Malek listened to a whole host of theories listed off by the interviewer and refused to drop any hints about what might happen in the film. Why isn’t he concerned about all the speculation and gossip? As Malek sees it, there’s no need to worry about predictions: “No matter what you expect from this movie, you will be shocked when you watch the film. I will not add any fuel to that fire.”

Of course, the pandemic is still making things difficult for the film, and the world at large. While Malek obviously wished that the film had not suffered the delays, he was simply happy that it would be happening at all, and seemed to look forward to the film as a sign of things returning to the status quo at some point. “Ultimately it would be great if people feel it’s safe enough to be able to see this film in the cinema. And maybe that could be some type of marker that we are returning to some sort of normalcy, whatever that is. And I hope that it is possible for reasons bigger than this film.”
All in all, Malek seemed optimistic, both about the film and its potential to release in the future. Though things are still uncertain, the actor’s easygoing attitude and positive outlook are rather infectious, and it’s hard not to feel hopeful listening to his perspective. Hopefully he’s right, and the world can enjoy the fruits of his labor when the film finally comes out.
No Time to Die is scheduled to release April 2, 2021.
